Bytebx review – Quick way to torrents TESTED
Bytebx is torrent downloader that currently uses a label of cloud storage for business reasons. It is capable of downloading torrents on your behalf, which protects you from issues connected to downloading torrents because your IP address doesn’t take part in the process. This feature helps you to overcome IP tracking or IP monitoring, and it is called fetching. A number of seeds determine the speed of fetching; their quality and technology are used for downloading them. There is a lot of popular torrent clients, but you cannot change, which client your provider uses. You are also not able to change the quality of seeds your torrent has, but you can influence how much seeds your file has.
I recommend using files with a more significant amount of seeds. For my tests, I used files with different amounts to see the whole variety of Bytebx service. File with over than 200 seeds had a speed around a 0.5 MB per second, which isn’t that much. When I tried a poorly seeded file (around 20 seeds) it had a peak of 0.2 MB per second. As there is no sign of seeding back, I discourage you from using private trackers because most of them require you to seed back. Seeding is essential, as it keeps torrents alive, and if all service would stop seeding like Bytebx, torrenting would die, which is what I as a torrent fan don’t want to happen.
Features of Bytebx
The storage is rather simplistic. Currently, you can only download or delete your files. There is no option of creating folders, moving files or renaming your files. There is no sync to other clouds or FTP access, which slightly limits your interaction with your files to a bare minimum. You can access this storage on any device because Bytebx has support for mobile devices. I tested it with Blackberry Playbook to see if devices with the bigger screen have Bytebx support, and then I proceed to check it with Pixel 2 XL and lastly with iPhone SE to see it on smaller screens.
The sidebar menu works pleasantly, and the only issue that I ‘ve found out is with pricing table. If you want to see prices on your mobile, the design will change into one or three columns. That depends on your screen size. Currently, the features of premium plans are also collum, which will make the reading unpleasant. That could be easily fixed with Cascading Style Sheets. I hope it will be changed because it is an annoying bug, that forces you to scroll up and down to see the features.
What to do with finished downloads in Bytebx?
One of the features I want to mention is the streaming option for your mp4 files. While writing this review, I was unable to find a convert option, which could help you if you downloaded a .avi or other video formats. This video player is a simple one, and it doesn’t have quality settings. That could be a bummer if you use mobile data like me, or you need to lower your quality for other reasons. Right now, it is also not possible to add subtitles to your video files.
Another feature that I want to mention is the search bar, which is provided by bitCQ. This search input goes through multiple torrent hosting sites. You can limit this search because in a few cases it can take a lot of time to find your file, with categories, which covers the most popular ones like Video, Audio, Application and more.

The download speed, depending on the quality of the connection between Bytebx servers and your device, is average. I tested it with a VPN to cover a lot of locations in my pursuit of testing this connection. In most of the places I haven’t found any major dropdown, but New Zealand, Malaysia, and Brazil were on the lower end. I also experienced small unreliability; three files stopped in the middle of downloading.

In sum up, Bytebx has a slightly below-average rating, and currently, there are better options for online torrent downloader.
