Premiumize review – Premium service with torrents?
Premiumize has its name from a word premium, which means to symbolize a fact that it is a premium-only torrent downloader. As with any internet torrent client, you are also secured from IP tracking, while using Premiumize because the torrent download is happening on their side. Name of this process is fetching. Its length depends on the quality of the torrent downloader and the number of seeds, that this particular file has. Because end-user cannot change the torrent client of their cloud torrent downloader, we will look at the correlation with seeds. Seeds are entirely in the hands of users.
Functions
Torrent downloading is not the core function of Premiumize, which explains the slower fetching speed. I tested it on file with 12 seeds and a few files with over than 190 seeds. From all of my tests, I can conclude that the speed is slightly below average with the central peak on 0.7 MB per second with a highly seeded file. The lower sided torrents had not reached this speed at all, and they have peaked on 0.2 MB per second and median of the whole speed was around 50 KB per second, which is explained by the simple fact that Premiumize doesn’t fully support torrent downloading.

After download, you will have the ability to access your files, stream them or download them. The streaming is sadly possible, only if you download it from supported hosts. There is nothing to criticize or to upvote. Australia or Thailand do have a speed drop, which is more significant in South Africa or Singapore, where you reach around half of the speed in Europe. Currently, there is no workaround for this speed drop, and you need to bear with it.

Premiumize has a Firefox, a Chrome and an Opera extension which helps you to access several proxy servers and to download directly without visiting premiumize for generating a link. You can also attach your premiumize to OpenVPN. If you like RSS, you can use it with premiumize as well, but there are no complex settings, and it is slower than other competitors RSS.

Premiumize gets 3 out of 5 stars rating for their download and fetching speed. The cloud storage and all the features of this service gained for Premiumize score of 4 out of 5 stars. Their security is below average with collection your card data, which is rating 2 out of 5 stars. These facts give Premiumize an average rating. It has great potential and a lot of tools, but right now there are superior services.
